Adoptable Castaway- Dude

Dude- Yellow Lab Mix

Dude Photo 6I know what you’re thinking, Dude? Why the name Dude for a dog? Well, because when you’re around this 60 lb, 2-year-old yellow lab, you can’t help but say Duuuuuddeeee, what’cha doin’?

This cool guy has a lot of heart and love to give. His two favorite places are being outside and being next to the human he adores. He loves chewing on bones, going on walks and runs, and learning new tricks, but if you start scratching that golden fur, he is content to melt into your lap for the rest of the day.

Dude is fully house trained, leash trained, kennel trained (although there’s no need to kennel him, he does well free in the house), and has basic obedience training. He is verDude Photo 3y intelligent and would love to attend training classes with his forever family to prove it!

He is great with children, dogs, and adults. Because he has spent most of his life around women, he takes a little more time to warm up to men, but a kind hand, gentle voice, and patience will earn him your love (his foster dad is proof of this).

He’s also neutered, UTD on his shots, current on all his monthly preventatives and healthy. He is average on energy; a walk and some play time during the day will keep this pup content, although he would make the perfect running buddy. Dude Photo 4

Dude’s ideal home is one filled with love, patience and kindness. He is easy to train, easy to be around and easy to love. He would do best with a family or individual with another dog as he enjoys the companionship and guidance another dog can give. Make Dude a part of your family today!
