Demi is a petite little girl. She and her brother, we presume, were found by a good Samaritan at a known Memphis dog dumping area. She was very skinny & had much of her hair missing. She had a deep scab under her neck we think from a cable or chain. She has gained weight, grown hair and her scar under her neck is much less visible

Demi gets along with other dogs very well, but not CATS. She is good on the leash and loves to ride in the car. She is a little shy around new people. Toddlers or very young children might be a little much for her, although school aged and older children should be fine.

Demi is smart and learns new things quickly. She is doing well with house training although she has an occasional accident She is good in her kennel even with the long hours her foster Mom is at work.

She loves to cuddle and is very loyal and loving. She is a smart little girl and learns quickly. If you are looking for a compact sized companion, then Demi is your girl.

Dogs 2nd Chance Memphis, TN

I’m Casey Lee, a handsome black and tan Border Collie / Lab boy. I’ve got a sweet disposition and a lot of love in my heart! I’m about 42lb, under 5 years old, and very friendly once I get past my initial shyness. I’m generally quiet – with just a touch of mischief to keep it interesting. (Check out my photo where I’ve borrowed sissy’s panda bear! Don’t I look like I’m up to something?)

I love to be with people! Once I get to know you, I’m just a little cuddle bunny. If you let me sit on your lap and lick you I’ll be so happy! It’s the same with other dogs – I’m shy at first, but once we’re acquainted – the fun begins! Foster Mom & Dad watch with delight when I play tug of war with my German Shepherd foster sister! I’m learning how to go to the dog park and walk on a leash, too.

Foster Mom & Dad really love me a lot, but they’re sure there’s someone who longs for a gentle, sweet friend to hang out with and love. Are you that special person?

Sunny’s Story…

Hi, my name is Sunny and I’m a loving little clown! I’m a Ibizan hound mix girl, white with tan markings. I’m about 16 months old and 35 lb. I was born in March 2015, but things went badly wrong when my family had a new baby. They put me in a bare kennel with no bedding. With hardly any potty breaks or exercise, I was repeatedly whipped for peeing! What was I supposed to do? The metal tray I lived on was rusted out and I had urine burns on my legs when I was rescued.

I was so lonely and sad, but I was lucky because a kind person posted about my situation on Facebook, and Foster Mom came and got me right away. She has lots of other fosters, so I’ve had a chance to show how friendly I am with other dogs, cats, and kids! I like to play, and you’ll laugh with joy to see me hopping around like a kangaroo, coaxing other dogs to join in!

I’m house and kennel trained, and I’ll be a wonderful pet and playmate for a family with kids, or a couple or single with other dogs I can hang out with. You’ll need a fenced yard because I’m very active, but you won’t have to worry about barking – I’m a quiet girl.

My old life was sad and painful, but a new day has dawned. When you take me into your home and into your heart, happy days will be here to stay!
